with a keen eye for design and in-depth knowledge of preservation practices.
Donna Erwin, owner and operator of Columbia River Gallery, is an outstanding picture framer.
She has honed and developed her design skills for over 22 years, winning over 13 framing
competitions at local, national and international levels.
Donna holds the prestigious honor of being the triple-award winner of the 2007 International Open Picture Framing Competition, hosted by the Professional Picture Framers Association. She took First Place, Popular Choice and Judges High Point Awards. That award was followed in 2008, with a 5th Place International win at the PPFA Framing Competition.
“My active participation, in educational seminars, trade shows, framing competitions and PPFA, are vital to staying on top of current trends and best practices. Industry standards are constantly being upgraded and there are always new challenges presenting themselves.”
Donna continues to educate herself in the most current framing design trends, ever-improving industry standards and state-of-the-art conservation framing standards.
She holds an Associates Degree in Interior Design from The Art Institute of Philadelphia
and she is an active member of the Professional Picture Framers Association (PPFA),
an international trade guild.

Donna is also an active force for promoting the arts in Troutdale, Oregon.
She is the creator and driving force behind Troutdale’s First Friday Art Walk, which began in 2002. She was also the creator and chairperson of the Troutdale Bite and Bluegrass Festival, which ran from 2006 through 2008 and she was recently presented with a Service Award by Troutdale’s Mayor Jim Kight for her efforts on behalf of the city of Troutdale.
